This little guy is from the 70's era of my life and was rescued from a life in a small pen with no food that he could reach.
He was a 40" pony. I fattened him up, clipped all the long fur off him, it was July and he still had a winter coat. He
was so undernourished he couldn't even shed. When he was back in good health I trained him to the pony cart. What fun he was
and sooo very willing!
My Faithful friend until the end. |

IN THE GOOD OLE DAYS!

This is my house! |
|
And I will defend it! Notice tail up to spray, but she never ever did! |
Yes people, she's a skunk! Got her when she was a baby from a friend that took care of
nuisance animals for people. He didn't get the mother but did get the babies. This is one he gave me which I had for 5 yrs.
She lived in the house, used a litter box. She also lived outside in a pen built just for her and a yard that was built under
the deck of the mobile home. I couldn't find her one day, she was gone! That night she was back in her 'yard', I found out
she had dug her way under the mobile home, gone up to the end of it, dug under the skirting and 'out she
went for a stroll! But she always came home. She "was not descented". She never sprayed for as long as I had her, although
she would playfully threaten to.
Now here's an unlikely odd couple! |
